We accompany tourists or visitors to tourist attractions, whether on day trips or longer visits, and give them information and insights that help them make the most of the experience. Our tour guides show groups or individuals round attractions such as historic monuments, cultural centers, beauty spots, sightseeing, outdoor sports and recreation, and dining out and provide them with background information to help them make the most of their visit. They may work with day-trippers or on walking tours, or support tourists on longer visits that involve overnight stays, perhaps to rural or remote locations. They sometimes also call for chauffeuring and language skills. Typical responsibilities include: · Undertaking research and planning tours · Preparing and giving presentations · Offering sightseeing advice · Organizing and leading excursions · Problem solving · Translating and interpreting · Transporting and accompanying tourists. · Providing information about the history of specific landmarks or locations so that visitors can gain a better understanding of the site’s significance · Coordinating group tours to ensure that everyone is together at all times · Offering suggestions for additional activities in the area, such as shopping or dining out, that will increase customer satisfaction · Accommodating special needs of visitors such as physical disabilities, language barriers, etc. In order to make it easier for people visiting Rwanda, we are preparing a guidebook which will be updated every year to make everything easier, especially for people who are coming to Rwanda for the first time. This book will be available in pdf format or in hard copy. It will be given free to our customers and partners but anyone else can buy it at a very low price.
